Date & Start Time: Saturday, May 20, 7:30 AM

Description: This route is moderate ride of 30 miles with two groups at different paces. The anticipated average paces are 15ish and 13-14 mph. Slower pace will be a No Rider Left Behind. The route goes North on Hurricane Creek Rd and then make a right turn at Mile 8 and then to the Madison County Lake for a Rest Stop. After the break the route then goes to end of Sharps Cove with a turn-around followed by Salty Bottom loop. The route is especially scenic riding through Sharp Cove. There are lots of hills/rollers with a cumulative climb of ~1240 ft but NO major climb.

Rest Stop: Madison County Lake @ ~10.5 miles.  There will be a quick stop at the Sharps Cove Turnaround (no service).

Route and cue sheet can be found at the following webpage: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/21220519. This route is listed in the SCCC RWGPS Accouont.

Bring a cue sheet and/or a map to the ride and have the phone number of the Ride Leaders. It is also recommended that you have the phone number of at least one friend.

Again, this is a Moderate ride with lots of rollers/hills so be sure you can do the stated average paces for the distance of 30 miles. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace or deviate from the route then you are on your own.
