Start Location: Sparkman Middle School, 2697 Carters Gin Rd, Toney, AL

Description: This is a moderate ride of 45 miles. The route heads North into Tennessee at mile 11 and loops around the state with an Old Railroad Bed Rd incline of approximately 4 miles. The planned average pace is 15ish mph with a cumulative elevation of 1075 ft.

Rest Stops: Grocery Store (if open) ~17 miles, Taft TN Store (after climb) ~30 miles

 

Saturday looks to be a nice day for a bike ride. Everyone is expected to ride as a group. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace than the leader or deviate from the route, then you are on your own.

Bring a cue sheet and/or a navigational device to the ride and also have the phone number of the Ride Leaders and the phone number of at least one friend

 

This is a relatively easy moderate ride with a few rollers, and one 4 mi incline of about 250ft.
Make sure you can do the stated pace and distance.
