Description: This is a BEAUTIFUL moderate ride of 53 miles with an average pace of 15-16 mph. The route starts at Madison County High School (MCHS) and it has a bunch of hills/rollers with a cumulative climb of ~2150 ft, but no mountain climb. The route goes to Sharps Cove, County Lake, Sharps Hollow and then Upper Hurricane Creek.

 

Rest Stops:  1stRS at Madison County Lake @ 16.7 Miles & 2ndRS @ Madison County Lake @ ~45.5 Miles. There are 4 quick stops (no service) at: Sharps Cove, Sharps Hollow, End of Upper Hurricane Creek Rd, and end of Dear Trace - Very scenic!!

The route is listed on the SCCC RWGPS Club Account. Bring a cue sheet and/or a navigation device and have the phone number of the Ride Leader.It is also recommended that you have the phone number of at least one friend.

 

Again, this is a moderate ride of 53 Miles. The route has lots of hills & rollers so be sure you can do the stated average pace and distance. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace or deviate from the either route, then you are on your own.
