Here is the third challenge of the 2020 routes. This route starts in Cowan at the railroad museum, heads north and east toward Alto, then climbs the Cumberland Plateau to Monteagle on Hwy 41. With a rest stop at McDonald's in Monteagle, the route continues onto the paved Mountain Goat Trail to Sewanee. A side trip to St. Mary's and the Templeton Library overlooks follow, and then we do the fast descent down the mountain on Hwy 41 back to Cowan. 41 miles. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31838907
