Description: This is a NEW SCCC route and it is a moderate ride of 43 miles through the Florette area to Hulaco area. It is a beautiful ride through backroads and farmland. It has 2 notable hills at the beginning and then lots of hills/rollers. The route has a cumulative climb of 2360ft.There are 2 out and backs which are very scenic. The expected average pace is 14-15 mph (due to the 2 steep climbs and other climbs).
Rest Stop: Dollar General at mile ~13.5 miles
As of now, it looks to be a good day for riding but it will be hot/humid as usual so stay hydrated. We will watch the weather and will make a weather call if needed.
The link to the cue sheet & map is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30846450 . It has been added to the SCCC RWGPS Club Account.
Everyone is expected to ride together in a group. Please be sure you can do the planned average pace for the distance. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace than the designated leader or deviate from the route, then you are on your own.
Bring a cue sheet and/or a navigational device to the ride and also have the phone number of the Ride Leaders and the phone number of at least one friend.
