Title: Gurley, Madison County Lake, Maysville Ride (NRLB)

Distance: 34 Miles

Start Location: Gurley City Park, Gurley, AL (NEXT to the library - 225 Walker St)

Date & Start Time: Saturday, 4 Feb @ 11:00 AM

Ride Leader: Raul Briseno, raulbriseno@me.com , 563 940-3888

Description: This is a moderate No Rider Left Behind (NRLB) ride of 34 miles going through Gurley, then to Madison County Lake followed by Maysville via 6 miles on Maysville Road. This is a 2-lane road and not expected to be overly busy, however it is narrow and has no shoulder.  Be CAUTIOUS!   The anticipated average pace will be 13-14 mph with a cumulative climb of 1290 ft.   There are lots of hills/rollers but NO major climb.  Raul will drop back as needed to ensure it will be a NRLB ride.

The link to the cue sheet and map is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18578573. This Route is listed on the SCCC RWGPS Club Account.

Rest Stops: Madison County Lake @ ~12 miles, & Maysville Chevron Station @ 23 miles.

We will monitor the weather forecast for Saturday.

Bring a cue sheet and/or a map to the ride and have the phone number of the Ride Leader. It is also recommended that you have the phone number of at least one friend. Call the Ride Leader if you have any questions.

Again, there are lots of hills/rollers. It is a NRLB ride but it is desired that the cyclists be able to do the stated average pace and distance. If you choose to ride at a much faster pace or deviate from the route, then you are on your own.
